Past Players

John Roberts, Goalkeeper/Full Back - Johnny played for the club from 1974 until retiring at the beging of the 2001 season. John was an oustanding shop stopper and brave as a lion during his 500 appearances, later on he bacme an uncompromising defender who liked a tackle.

Roy Allen - Despite only really playing for one season, Roy left his mark on Henllan, with his undoubted ball skills, so much so that he went on to have a short professional career, taking in Wolverhampton Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers and Coventry City. If he had been born in todays era he would more than likely have remained in the game, but th calling of teaching took him away from the professional game.

Nigel Williams - Nigel was a wippet liek wing player, who terrorised defences for may seasons, providing pin point crosses and goals, plenty of them, later on in his career he played in central midfield and defence to equal effect, with only a neck injury curtailing his career.

Cled Pierce - 'Mr Goals' played in an era when Henllan, whilst always competitive, did not win the trophies they could have. However the 'whispish' Pierce was always amongst the goals and his career total of 266 in just over 300 appearances is unlikley to be bettered.

John Gwyn Roberts - A Driving Force in the great Henllan sides of the 1950's and 1960's. A competitive and versatile player who was a gentleman footballer off and on the field.
